ABOUT OUR COUNCIL
On March 8, 1922 a committee of Walla Walla Rotarians met at the Dacres Hotel in Walla Walla to try and form a Scout Council. They agreed on plans to organize a Second Class Council limited to Walla Walla County. ‘l’he charter application was completed and received on April 22, 1922.
With over 100 years of serving Southeastern Washington and Northeastern Oregon, the Blue Mountain Council continues to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Serving youth and families in Southeastern Washington,
including Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, and Columbia counties.
Also serving youth and families in Northeastern Oregon,
including Umatilla, Union, Baker, Grant, Wallowa,
Wheeler, Gilliam, and Morrow counties.
